My new favorite thing
Thanks to a friend of mine, Jennifer, I have found the most exciting thing. We eat alot of fresh produce and to be able to find such great quality at such a great price...is amazing!!! Have you ever heard of Bountiful Baskets? I have been in the dark for way too long. If you already know about it then you can just ignore this post, but I am just happy to have it now. This is how it works. A group of people get together and put their money together and get a great deal on produce. You take your basket and get to fill it with produce. It happens every two weeks and you order online. (plus it happens all over the United States). You never know what is going to be in your basket, all you know is it will be 1/2 fruits and 1/2 veges. They also offer some other things each time that are in bulk. I was able to go in with some other people and get a great deal on green beans. That bag in the back is all green beans. The bag in the middle is potatoes. I am VERY pleased with what we got and will for sure keep doing it. All this for only $21...woo hoo!!! Start looking at it, you know it is a good deal!!! We had a yummy dinner last night and the only thing we had to add was chicken. The rest came from our basket.

Our life in numbers
50 plus-the number of messes Jeff and I have cleaned up this week, thanks to our little Addison and her potty training.
0-the number of diapers I have changed this week. It feels so good...even though I have a baby on the way, now I won't have to change two sets of diapers. We had a few rough days this week trying to get Addison potty trained, but we only had 3-4 accidents today. That is very good!!! She is getting it!! YAY!!!
5-the size of our baby now. I had an ultrasound this week and they have measured the baby at 5 lbs 11 ounces. Also the number of weeks I have to go....woo hoo. Can't wait to meet this little one. And Dad.....no we still don't know what it is. Sorry, you will find out when we do.
1-the numbers of weeks until Spring Break....yay, we may travel. So we might go and do something fun. My doctor said it was fine to travel, but that is the very last week that I could. But we will have to see at my next appointment if I am having regular contractions or something looks out of the ordinary, it is a no go.
7-the number of weeks Parker has left in School.....oh my, where did the year go? He is doing great in school. We just had a Parent Teacher Conference with his teacher and he is doing great. He will for sure move onto the next grade. It has been a debate all year long. And if you know my hubby at all this should not come as a shocker...his best subject, Math. He takes after his dad. Jeff says we have an engineer on our hands. Way to go Parker!!
2.5-the number of books I read the month of February. I have read some great books. I go through these spurts of wanting to read. I have read Fallen...loved it. Can't wait to read the next one. Goose Girl...also a great one. I am halfway through the 2nd book Enna Burning. A great set of fairy tales.
6-the number of nights this week my kids have been to bed after 10:30 pm. Not sure what is going on with them, but we cannot get them to go to bed. They go to bed late, wake up early and you would think they would go to bed great the next day. Especially if they have not had naps....nope. So frustrating. And the only reason Addison went to bed tonight. I rocked her to sleep and then Jeff carried her to bed. Any ideas on how to get them to stay in bed. We take away all privileges and nothing. It does not work.
3-the number of days I had to go without a dishwasher this week. It is amazing how many dishes one family of four can go through. Thanks to my great hubby, it was back in order after only 3 days. I love having a handy husband. He fixed the motor and we are back in business. It only cost $135....I guess that is better than the price of a new one. But we did find out today that our lawn mower will cost more to fix than it will be for a new one. Oh happy day...why do things like this all happen at the same time. Oh well!!

Yankee Doodle
We have been talking about getting a piano for a while and we have debated on what type to get. We really like the idea of having a regular piano, but then when you move you have to have it tuned, plus it needs that on a regular basis. But I LOVE the idea of a real piano. But then we were introduced to digital pianos. Love that you can turn the volume down and also that it does not need to be tuned. I can turn it off and move it and not have any problems.
Well we finally found one we wanted and with it being President's Day weekend it was on sale and so we bought it. I LOVE our new toy. It is the new favorite thing in the house. We made the kids stop playing it tonight and they were both throwing themselves on the floor and crying. I guess we will have to keep it.
Parker had his first lesson already and is really enjoying it. He has lots to learn and is open for the challenge. I am just not sure how many more times I can take Yankee Doodle. I should just be happy that he is liking it.

Just over 6 weeks to go
Here is an updated photo of this pregnant momma....not feeling so hot. I have been uncomfortable ALOT recently. I am just glad that Jeff has had some time off and is able to help out around the house. We have just over 6 weeks to go...yay!!! Baby is doing good though, and that is all that matters, right?? On a good note, thanks to my diet I lost two pounds in the last two weeks. That makes 7 pounds total in the last month. If the doctor is not concerned, neither am I!! Next visit we have an ultrasound and we get to see this baby one more time before he/she is presented to the world. And yes I am dying to know what it is, I just keep telling myself only a few more weeks.

Addison's 1st Haircut
I have been dreading taking Addison to the salon because I was not sure how she would act and also I did not want to get rid of her curls. But when it started to be unmanageable I knew it was time. I had nothing to fear though....she was an angel. And Ceelie, my hairdresser, did not cut off all her curls...in fact, now her hair curls better. After she was done Addison wanted braids, she LOVED them!! Doesn't she look so cute!!

Here is a picture of how her hair curls now....love it!!!

9 weeks to go
I had an ultrasound this last week. Baby is doing great. We got some great 4-d ultrasound photos....Addison loved looking at these, she can actually see a baby. She keeps asking me when we get the baby. Random things keep being delivered and so that is not helping. Just this week we got the car seat and the stroller. She was super excited and wanted to open them immediately. I just got around to it today. She loved that her and the baby could both sit in the double stroller. She also LOVES putting her baby in the car seat. She also keeps seeing clothes and wants to put them on the baby. I just keep telling her that soon enough we will have the baby. I still cannot believe that the baby will be here so soon. I keep thinking that is could be sooner than that. I had both the kids 10 days early and so it could be as early as 7 weeks....scary. And I am looking VERY pregnant. And dad....we still don't know if it is a boy or a girl. Don't worry when we know you will for sure find out. You tell me...does it look like a boy or a girl? I am going towards the boy, that is what I feel it is. But I would LOVE a girl!

Snow Day 2011
Just like the rest of the United States we got hit hard with REALLY cold temps. Seriously.....when it is in the negatives, that is WAY too cold. I felt like I was back home during the dead of winter. Then the electric company started doing rolling black outs and then it got really cold. We did get some snow though and it stuck around for a couple of days. The kids were loving it. I am glad that we had some kind of snow gear. You just don't invest in that kind of stuff unless you know you are going to use it. And here...you never know. I think the kids were going crazy though with the negative numbers because I would not let them go outside and they hated it. Eventually it warmed up to the teens and I let them out, but not for very long. I think what Parker loved most about having snow was that he only had school one day last week. Jeff and I were going crazy. Jeff was home all week too. His time off can be explained by a LONG story, but I think he is enjoying his time off. It has been great for me, he helps out a TON with the kids and gets them breakfast almost every morning and lets me sleep in. Anyway onto the pics because I know that is all most of you want to see anyway.

I think their favorite part of the whole thing was the hot chocolate. I also had warm soup to try and get them warm. Addison had never had her own hot chocolate before and loved it. I usually just give her a few sips of mine and she is content. She couldn't finish it (which I anticipated) and she wanted me to put it in the fridge. I don't think she understood that it was HOT chocolate. It was cute.

Today it finally warmed up and we all spent the afternoon outside. Jeff planted some new trees...woo hoo, hope they turn out good. They are dormant right now and so the weather was perfect for them. The kids enjoyed their bikes and LOVED not being cooped up in the house. Bring on SPRING!!!
