We survived!!
We survived the hockey season. Parker had his last championship game last night. They got to end it at the Coliseum, which is where the professional players play hockey. They kids always love playing there. They played so well, but they lost. It was tied one to one and they had to have a 5 shot shoot out. They came so close to making a shot but the other team got one shot in and we lost. They really did so good!! It was a nail biter to watch!! Parker is sad the season is over, but he had so much fun and learned alot. He practices his puck skills in the garage on rollerblades and this is what I heard recently.
"The puck broke my head!"
Parker's response-"I was practicing hockey and Addison got in the way."
She will have a bruise for a while. It was a huge goose egg.
He is looking forward to next season already and powerskating that starts up the end of April. Every Saturday morning they have a hockey camp and help the kids to keep up their skills. I am glad to finally have my Saturday mornings back for a little while.

The reading nazi
So I guess I am some kind of Nazi when it comes to reading, check out Parker's reading log. I just found it the other day and had to chuckle. Apparently all he is allowed to do is read. Really he just wants to do the best so he can get the prizes. And those really large numbers are in minutes.

I want to cut mommy!
I knew it would happen eventually but I was hoping it wouldn't happen at all. I was combing her hair this morning and noticed her hair was shorter on one side. To be honest the first thing that came to my mind was it broke off because it kind of looks like it with the way she cut it. But then I thought, wait, she's three she does not have breakage. Then I asked that question no parent wants to ask....did you cut your hair? She just looked at me and said yes. Like it was no big deal. She then showed me where she put the hair, like she was hiding it or something. It could be worse. The cut is not that bad. It just kills me that she did it because we have talked about it over and over about not doing it. Oh well! Now our scissors are under lock and key.
