Third times the charm, we finally made it

So we finally made it to Sea World. This was our third attempt. Jeff's back has acted up in the past a few days before and he ended up in bed and not doing much. But we finally made it. The kids were so excited. We went for only a few hours two days in a row. We were not sure how Jeff's back was going to do and Kate. She does not like her stroller and so that concerned us. But she ended up doing AMAZING!! She loved watching the shows. Not sure if that had anything to do with her being out of her stroller or not, but she liked them. Jeff was a little sore after just a few hours, so glad that he was able to go. He was a good sport and hung with Kate while I went on the rides with the kids.

The kids were so excited to finally be here. Parker was running circles in the parking lot.

Addison rode her first roller coaster. She said she loved it, but she had a frown on her face the whole time.
This was their favorite part. They got to feed the Sea Lions. They thought that was fun.

This was everyone's favorite show. Who doesn't love Shamu. We even stayed later the second day for a different Shamu Rocks show and we all still liked the other one better.

The kids collected smashed pennies throughout the park. It was fun to watch them spot the machines. By the end of the day Addison could do it all by herself. She was so proud of herself. Now they can add them to their other ones they have at home from other places we have visited.

Parker rode his very first BIG rollercoaster. He was so excited. It was all he could talk about. So much so that we finally gave in and let him ride it. The one he really wanted to ride he was 1/2 inch too short to for and that bummed him out. But this one I think made up for it. He was pretty excited and then the ride started and then as we were going down our first hill these were his exact words "Roller Coasters are kind of fun!"  It was so funny. He was so scared that I was laughing at him. But now it is all he can talk about and it already talking about next time.  Stay tuned for San Antonio Day 2...more Sea World and a trip to the Alamo and the Riverwalk.

Field Day

So we finished off another year at MCA. We sure do love Parker's school. This was the first of May and he had his field day. He came home a week before the event and kept talking about how he needed to practice his running because they were having a race during field day. I didn't think anything of it. Then the day before the event we went and got him new tennis shoes. He was so excited because he was going to get some that made him faster (that is what he kept saying in the car) At the store he did laps around building. I kept telling him to stop and he just kept saying, "Mom, I have to practice.!!" And he was very adamant about it. Then that morning he was outside running and Jeff asked him what on earthy he was doing? He said, "Dad, today is the big race and I have to win!!" Jeff said he was a little confused and just left him to his running. Not until that day did we realize what he was talking about. They were having a race for each grade and then gender. He was certain he was going to win. And all his running paid off, I guess! He came in 2nd place. We are so proud of our little runner! We all had a great time at the field day and are looking forward to summer!!! I cannot believe that I have a 3rd grader!!   Here are just a few pics from that day!

Science Extravaganza

We started going to a homeschooling group and have really enjoyed meeting some new people and getting new ideas. They take field trips and their first one was to Midland College to their Science Extravaganza. Oh this was so much fun. It was more fun to Parker. Addison told me that she loved it even though she whined the ENTIRE time we were there. Another mom from the group overheard her say that and just laughed. It was funny. Here are just a few photos of the event. Parker loved the chemistry part. Me and the girls didn't go up the stairs (we had a stroller, thank goodness) He still talks about how cool that part was. We are excited to go back. They have so many stations we didn't get to see and so next year will be fun!!

Here is picture of the whole group that went. Some great people here!!

So I feel like life is never going to slow down and my days are getting shorter and shorter. I have stretched myself too thin and have now just realized that I have to say no to some things. Ever since I have had Kate I feel like life has been on fast forward. I am going to attempt to get this thing updated and keep up on it. Wish me luck!! We have lots to get you all updated about. So be prepared for a ton of pictures!!!
