Happy Anniversary Jeff!!

Jeff and I just celebrated 7 years on Sunday. It was a great day and we spent it with some friends. It is hard to believe all that has happened in 7 years. On Saturday night we were able to celebrate by going to dinner. (thanks Jamie for watching the kids) Jeff has been telling me about this place that has the best onion rings (I love onion rings). They were the best in Texas, no the universe!! They were AMAZING!!! If you ever go to Clear Springs Cafe you have to have the onion rings. But make sure you order the small, the large can feed 3 grown men. It was nice to have an evening without the kids!! Thanks babe for a great 7 years! Thanks for being a wonderful dad to our beautiful kids and thanks for taking such good care of us!! I love you!!

Our Garden

I am so excited to finally have "a garden" (If you can call it that). We have 4 tomatoes, lettuce (not big enough to eat) and also many watermelons and cantaloupes. I am hoping for more, but we will have to see, only time will tell!! I am just excited with what we have.

Thanks Paul

Jeff's boss gave Parker this "pitching machine." His kids are grown and they have no use for it. Parker has been busy with it all day and I have loved it!! He is also getting really good. He has informed me that he needs to be signed up for soccer and baseball now. I am just excited that he has something to keep him busy for the next month while we wait for school to start!! (don't you just love the face he pulls when he swings??)

On a side note...check out the grass!! We have a fungus in our grass. I am very frustrated about it. All that work and it now looks like that. We are still doing research to find out what we need to do to fix it. If you have any ideas we would love them!!!

What Parker does when he doesn't want to sleep

Parker came running to the living room and said "mommy you have to come to my room immediately!!" By the way he said it I knew I needed to get there ASAP. This is what I found. At first I wasn't sure what it was, he said that he threw it up there...he didn't mention that he threw it up there over and over. I am just glad it didn't get into the fan.

I couldn't do it...

I have been giving Jeff a hard time about not letting me cut his hair. Well last night he finally gave me the go to do what I wanted, as long as I didn't shave it.(he said he would get sunburned at work, he spends alot of time outside) I got started and trimmed around his neck and ears and then went to cut the rest. I got it wet and started playing with it and I couldn't do it. There I was standing with the scissors in my hand and clippers right in front of me....and I couldn't do it!!! He has the most perfect pin curls (if he will style it). So for now, I am letting him keep it long as long as he is willing to make more of an effort to style it. Most of the time he lets it do its own thing. I am just hoping that he passes that on to that little girl of his, she definitely needs some curl, maybe we should start with hair first, she needs that too!!!

Fun in the sun!!

I know this is really late, but I wanted to share some fun times we had with Jeff's parents while they were here. There is not much to do in Midland but go swimming. We had a great time. Parker is a little fish now!! He loves to go swimming. We all had a great time!!

10 months old

Time is flying by. She is such a joy to have around. A few things about her:

-She just learned to clap and does it all the time.
-Is doing a little bit of walking, she can walk about half way across the room.
-Is getting her very first tooth, the last two nights have been fun!! She has been up until 2 am, but then she crashes for a long while.
-Loves her big brother, and follows him around.
-Loves books, she will sit and look at books for quite a while!!
-She is a really big eater and can hold her own at the dinner table!! (not sure where it all goes, she is just so petite)
-She is fascinated with water bottles and loves to drink from them.
-Still a happy baby and we love her!!

Summer BBQ

There is nothing like a summer BBQ. When you go outside in the evening it always smells wonderful. This last weekend we had some friends over and we had a great time with them. We have always wanted to try corn on the cob on the grill. We tried two different ways and liked both ways. They were both so different. One was grilling with out the husk and the other one with the husk. Everyone had their own that they liked. It really just depends if you want steamed corn or not. One was made with a garlic butter and the other one was not. Jeff says the huskless one (with the garlic butter) he like better. Try it both ways and see what you like. The only thing that would have made the evening better was if we had some yummy watermelon. The corn was yummy though and we had a great evening with some new friends!!

Photo editing class

I have been taking this photo editing class and loving it. I have learned lots, I thought I knew how to use my program before but I was wrong. I did this photo today and fell in love with it. It doesn't make my need for a vacation go away that is for sure!!

Happy Birthday Jeff!!!

Jeff's Birthday is not officially until Saturday but Jeff's parents visited us and we celebrated it a week early. He said he doesn't mind because that means he gets to have treats twice. For his first celebration we had gourmet ice-creams sundays(as you can see from the photos, Jeff had his own idea of what he wanted for his sunday)It was yummy and everyone enjoyed it. After our treats we played some croquet and had a great time. Thanks Nana and Papa for visiting and celebrating Jeff's birthday with us!!

"Jeremiah???"

So I have to vent for just a moment. This last spring Parker played soccer and had a great time. We did not, however have a good experience with his coach. Nice guy, just not a great coach. He did not really teach the kids a whole lot, he just let them play each other. We missed a game once because he didn't tell us it had been changed and we finally got our team photos taken after the season was over. Well that was 6 weeks ago and I was getting so frustrated because we had not received them yet. I had called the coach and he said they were in the mail, then 2 weeks later I saw him at a Socker's game and he said they had been mailed. This concerned me, where did he mail it to? The very next day I got it in the mail and I opened it up and was so excited on to find out that I now have a son named Jeremiah. The photographer had put the wrong name on the picture. AAAAHHH!! So now I have to wait for a new one. I am hoping by the fall season of soccer we have the corrected one. The picture is way cute but I am sick and tired of dealing with it. I think we will have him play again, we are just going to request a different coach.

4th of July Fun

We had a great 4th of July and very busy. We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Our celebrating started the night before. We went to a Sockers game with a bunch of friends and had so much fun!!! Parker really enjoyed spending time with his friends and they had fireworks as well. Parker was so excited because he was going to get to see fireworks two days in a row. Jeff and I were excited because we have been looking forward to taking pictures of the fireworks. We thought they turned out pretty good. (for a first try)

The next day we started the morning off early. I was in charge of a 4th of July Breakfast for our church and so we headed over there about 7:30 am. It turned out really well and I am just glad that it is over. We had great attendance and didn't run out of food. (YEAH!!!) Jeff was on pancake batter duty and Parker put himself in charge of keeping the flies off of the food. It was cute!!

Jeff and his parents then went to a Tea Party in Odessa. They had a great time and met up with a large crowd of people. I stayed home with some very tired kids that were sleeping.

Later that night we went over to our friends and had a great time. Just a few highlights of the evening.

-Great time with great friends!!
-Had some yummy food!!
-Addison had her very first cookie. (thanks to Kyle, she loved it)
-Parker beat Papa in air hockey
-Parker enjoyed some swimming (I swear that kid could live in the water!!)
-Watched fireworks from their front lawn
-Stayed up til 11 pm (when we left Parker asked why we couldn't stay longer, other kids were still in the pool)
-Met up with some old friends
-Hard core nerf gun fights

We hope that where ever you were you had a great time and took a moment to remember those that helped get the freedom that you enjoy! Happy 4th of July!!

Once you get him started you can't stop em

We pulled out the good old slip and slide. Parker was very nervous to use it. He wanted me to show him how first. He wanted me to do it first and show him how to do it. But once I got him started he did not want to stop. He had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Since then he has asked almost every day if we could do it again.

Happy 4th of July

We are enjoying the nice weather and a visit from Jeff's parents. Hope you enjoy this day with your family!! We are proud to be Americans and the freedoms that we enjoy. We are grateful for those that have gone before us and fought for our country and the sacrifice that they gave.
