only 25 cents???

Parker found his favorite thing the other day at the store and was shocked that is was only 25 cents. He got home and broke it open and devoured it...well as much as I would let him.

Road Trip

Jeff had to visit a doctor in San Angelo and so we decided it would be fun to get out of the house. His appointment went great (he is going back in a few weeks for another one) and we got to see a new town. The kids had fun at this great park and we got treats on the way home. It is the first trip we have taken out of Midland for a long time, too bad it was to a little town not far away that did not really have anything to offer. We had fun playing together anyway.

Food Coloring-1 Addison-0

Not much else need to be said, other than she found a new toy that has now been taken away. This is after much scrubbing...not sure how long it is going to last. She keeps telling me that she needs to wash her hands because they are dirty.

Eyes Open, awake??

My kids are just loving this little thing. They love it when she is awake and if she is they are in her face. Their first words are her eyes are open, awake?? And they phrase it in a question, which I think is funny. Addison is always wanting to help her with something. She needs her "fire" (pacifier) or wiping her mouth because she has bubbles, or trying to put a bow on her. She is such a proud big sister!!

She has been a great baby. Still struggling with nursing. She is starting to outgrow the newborn stuff. The growing has begun!! The worst thingis that she is so turned around in her schedule. This is at 3 in the morning. She is wide awake. So I am pretty tired all the time, but that was expected.

End of the Year Festivities

I cannot believe that another school year has come and gone. We had such a great year and Parker learned alot. We had such a great experience at his school and he is headed back there next year. There are days when I want to drop him off at the nearest public school, but the good ones outweigh the bad. We get to see him more often, which Addison loves. Plus we don't have to deal with the politics that come with public school. No offense to teachers or anyone that loves it, it is just not for us. We debated doing home school full time but this school is the best of both worlds. We just love it.

On the 2nd to last day of school Parker's teacher invited all the parents to class and read the kids a touching story about a mother saying good bye to her son and all the things they went through over the years he was in school. It was so precious. She then thanked us and was almost in tears. She is so wonderful and I know that Parker will miss her.

The next night was the Spring Concert. The kids got to show off what they did for their Friday classes. Parker took Spanish, Music and Science. He loved going to school on Fridays. His favorite was Science. But he enjoyed Music as well. He did learn some Spanish, but it was not his most favorite class. The Music classes did some singing and in Parker's class they did some folk songs with dancing. Here is one photo I got, but really it is a photo of the back of that guy. Addison was a runner that night and would not sit still and when I got up to go and take a photo, (we were sitting by the door because Jeff was handing out programs,so our seats were not that good), Addison ran and so I was trying my hardest to get something. But not much turned out. Their songs were really cute and they did a great job!!

The next morning the Grammar School had a concert for the parents. Parker's class was so cute. They sang a song about the Ten Commandments and they had actions to go with it. Oh my, what a cute song.

After that was field day....just what the kids were waiting for. I let the kids run and do what they wanted. It was a really windy day and I did not want to take Kate out and so I hung out inside and the kids were outside with some friends. I did get out there a couple of times and snap a few photos. They looked like they had fun. After the games they served us lunch and then the highlight of the day...Bahama Bucks. I just found out that one of the girls parents in Parker's class owns it and so they brought enough for everyone. It all makes sense now. For every holiday Parker would bring home a coupon for a free snow cone and so now I am wondering why it took me all year to figure that out. And what is even funnier is that the mom that I know the best is the one that owns it. Guess I didn't really know that much.

Then we made a new tradition...pizza for dinner on your last day of school. Who doesn't love that???

More visitors

We were so lucky to have Jeff's youngest brother come and visit. He and his wife have a 7 month old and we had not had a chance to meet him yet and so it was great they came to visit. He was teething the whole time he was here and so they said that we did not get to see the real side of little Cameron, but he is still adorable!!

While they were here we had some great BBQ, went to the park, made Easter cookies, enjoyed some Settlers of Catan, (Chris...Jeff's demands a rematch!!!) had an Easter Egg Hunt, colored Easter Eggs, enjoyed Bahama Bucks and Your Way Yogurt. So much fun. We also had alot of down time...after all I just had a baby!! Thanks Chris and Tishelle for coming!! We really enjoyed having you here!

Here are some photos of the fun!!

Let's Start with BBQ...we really wanted to take him to our fav place called KD's but it did not work out, so we went to the next best place we love called The Hot Pit...they have the best fried okra...yummy!! The kids always love it!!

Tishelle tried a jalapeno...not sure how it turned out, I had to run and feed the baby. But I was there for this part. It was huge and so I am sure it was not easy to eat.

Parker just kept saying, more more. He ate a ton, I am not sure where he puts it all.

There is a park in town that just got a new playground and so I thought it would be fun to go. I forgot my camera and so I stole this photo of my kiddos. They loved it, but it was windy here and so it was not ideal weather for two babies. We did not stay long. I did go back a few days later. It is now the favorite park and the only one my kids ever want to go to. I will have to get some better photos. The playground is awesome.

So I have posted about the cookies that we love to make...the kids got so excited when I told them we were making them again. Jeff's brother loved it, I think we got him hooked. We all had a great time. Jeff was funny, you cannot tell but he piled a huge pile of jelly beans on his cookie...it was so funny. Maybe you had to be there. He was actually embarrassed that I took a photo.

Part of me thinks making the cookie is their favorite part, they could do this part forever. It is kind of nice! I know where they are and what mess they are making.

Easter was so fun. The kids enjoyed an egg hunt in the backyard. Parker was so speedy and got most of the eggs, but we stopped him before too long and let Addison get some. She loved it.

Parker and the popular chocolate bunny. He always has the thing devoured within 5 minutes of seeing it. A day later he was trying to convince me that Addison said they could share hers...such a liar. He just wanted another chocolate bunny.

Do you like my photo of my kids on Easter in their Sunday best...oh wait Parker is in his pjs. He changed first thing and would not change back into his suit. Such a bum!!! At least my little Addison looked adorable.

Here is our newest little addition...isn't that the cutest little dress? She was an angel for Easter. She went to church for the first time.

Who doesn't color eggs on Easter, it was always something I loved doing as a kid. Now that I am a parent, I do not look forward to it. Who knows where the dye is going to end up and who knows how many fingers are going to end up blue. The kids loved it and asked for more eggs when we were done. I had boiled 18 knowing that it would take us a while to eat that many boiled eggs. I don't think that Cameron knew what to think.

We always take every guest that comes to town to Your Way Yogurt(well almost everyone). You get to pick and choose and make your own creation. The kids LOVE it. Addison always wants pink...doesn't matter the flavor just as long as it is pink. Parker piles it on. We did not watch him carefully and he got more than I did. He loved every single bite.

And if you made it this far....thanks!!! Sorry for the picture overload. At least I know some grandparents are loving it. Back in a few days for more updates....lots more to come.

On our own...

So Jeff's parents were originally going to stay for 3 or so weeks but their plans changed and they had to leave early. The kids were sad to see them go. Addison asked for Papa every day. She just kept saying, "Papa go??" They really did enjoy having them here. I am very grateful for them and I have truly been blessed with great in-laws!! Here is cute photo of them before they left.

After they left the panic set in that I was finally going to be on my own. I have heard horror stories of how the third one is the hardest to adjust to. I think so far that has been the hardest adjustment. I have learned to accept a lot more and some days I just hope and pray that my kids don't kill each other. I swear they have been terrors since Kate was born. I know it is just them adjusting, but still....come on already. Addison has been having the hardest adjustment. It has always been "mommy do it" and so when I can't and Jeff has to do it the crying sets in and the tantrums start. I hope that with time that will get better.

Not long after Jeff's parents left we got some more visitors. We had a great time with them and hope they enjoyed their stay. More about who it was and what we did later (not that there is much to do in Midland, but we did some fun stuff)....gotta get some sleep.
