Halloween Carnival

Our ward had a Halloween Carnival and along with that we have a pumpkin carving contest. Parker was insistent that we carve our little pumpkin, but check out the picture to see his reaction after I cut open the pumpkin. I think he was expecting something else, it was funny!!

I did get Jeff to scrape out the pumpkin, but he was not happy about it. All in all I ended up carving the pumpkin, again and I think that I did a dang good job this year.

Once again I didn't get the pics I really wanted, but I was in charge of this activity too and so I had lots of other things to do.

I just had to add this photo....she was so darn cute!!!

This is Parker the whole night, his mouth full of some kind of junk.....he was in heaven. He also LOVED the games.

Jeff and Addison and her little friend Chenille having fun during the cake walk.

Halloween 2010

I hope that all of you had a fun Halloween. We celebrated a day early with a Trunk or Treat at our church. The kids had a blast. I had to wake Addison up to leave and she just kept yellling, treat, treat, treat, treat. It was so funny. Then she cried until we left. She was so excited. I wish that I had gotten more photos, but I was in charge of the activity and so I was busy doing other things. The activity started off with hotdogs and then "Witches Brew." That was Parker's favorite part. And who doesn't love homemade rootbeer?

Here is Parker trying to get more candy from our bowl, as if the boy didn't have enough. The parking lot was full and he told us that went around 7 times....seriously???

Parker was a ninja this year, but he would not wear the hood that really made him look like a ninja. And he would not wear his sword....crazy boy!! Addison was the cutest pink poodle ever. Jeff didn't work very hard and put on his uniform for girls softball (as if he needed something to make him look bigger, he has a guard under his shirt for protection) and I went the easy route and did the cat thing. It was a fun night. It always come and goes so quickly, I am sad that it is over. Parker got entirely too much candy. He informed us this morning that he was getting enough to share with the whole family, but we could only have 2 pieces. Silly boy!!

She takes after mommy

Addison LOVES Halloween. I am so glad that she takes after me. This morning I told her to go and get her shoes on, this is how I found her. She was ready to go to church. So funny!!! Hey at least she had her shoes on, right??

My LIttle Sidekick

Since I have been pregnant I have spent ALOT of time in bed. I am finally starting to feel better. The nausea does not come on every night, just some nights. Addison is my little sidekick and loves to join me on the bed. This is how you can find her. She will lay there and watch whatever I am watching on tv and I think she enjoys every minute. Jeff caught this picture the other night. What a cutie!!!

Pumpkin Patch

The kids had the best time at the Pumpkin Patch. They each loved all of the pumpkins and they even got to bring one home and that just made their day. They also loved the painted face cutouts....they had to get behind it and then they each made sure that I took a picture at each one....there were about 10 or so. It was funny!

Parker loved that they had these stickers that he could decorate their pumpkins with. Of course his pumpkins is a little small, but he doesn't care. They both LOVE their pumpkins. Addison sleeps with hers. It is so funny!!!

It's finally here

Parker has been counting down the days until it was time to rake the leaves up and play. He was certain there were enough yesterday and so we blew them all in a pile and it kept both him and Addison busy for the longest time. It was fun to watch the expressions on Parker's face. Addison was just following Parker and had a blast. I am just glad that fall is FINALLY here. It still gets in the 80s in the late afternoon, but we can now have the windows open and enjoy our fall. I will always miss the smell of fall though, you don't really get that here.

Scripture Chasing

I have done scripture chasing in my past, but it was always in Seminary or Institute. I never thought to teach my kids when they were little. We learned about Scripture chasing from my sister. Her Mother in law has been doing it with her Primary Kids for a long time and convinced my sister to do it. She and her kids just love it. You can go here and see her kids doing it. Her youngest is three and he even does it. I cannot wait to get Addison started on it. We have only been doing it for a very short time and this week are adding some stories from the bible. It will be fun to see how Parker reacts to that. My sisters mother in law wanted to see some video of Parker doing it and so here it is. (if you don't want to watch I understand, the video is mainly just for my sis and Randy, her mother in law) Thanks guys for the idea....we LOVE it!! I love to see Parker mark his scriptures and draw pictures in there. He is learning so much about them and especially where to find the stories he loves. He is starting to love his scriptures so much!!

Good News

I don't feel like I am ready for another one. Addison is still so little to me. Parker was 4 when she was born, but when you get that feeling 3 times, while in the temple, that it is time to have another baby, how do you ignore that. We started trying to have another one and it didn't take long but, my life has been turned upside down the past two months. I really just want things to be normal again. We found out that we are expecting #3 and very excited about that, but if it means that I am sick for the next 6 months I might just cry. I get my morning sickness in the evening. Well it comes on about 2 pm and so that means that my day is pretty much shot by then. All I want to do is crawl in bed and forget life. Just when I thought that it was starting to get better I got a darn cold and have been back in bed even more. I don't want to complain, but when do I get to start feeling better. It looks like a tornado has blown through my house. And I cannot seem to get caught up on laundry. Thank goodness my wonderful husband has been so good about helping out more with the kids. He tells me all the time though that he wants his wife back. And Addison has been sleeping better and so that has helped.

The kids are way excited! Parker wanted to know when we get it and is certain that it is a boy. Not sure what is going to happen if its not. Addison just loves showing her belly when you talk about it and is sure that she has a baby too. So stinkin cute!!!

So if you have wondered where I have been, or why I haven't called, or returned your call.....this explains it all. I feel like my life has been put into a snow globe and someone is constantly shaking it....not a good feeling!!
