Yankee Doodle

We have been talking about getting a piano for a while and we have debated on what type to get. We really like the idea of having a regular piano, but then when you move you have to have it tuned, plus it needs that on a regular basis. But I LOVE the idea of a real piano. But then we were introduced to digital pianos. Love that you can turn the volume down and also that it does not need to be tuned. I can turn it off and move it and not have any problems.

Well we finally found one we wanted and with it being President's Day weekend it was on sale and so we bought it. I LOVE our new toy. It is the new favorite thing in the house. We made the kids stop playing it tonight and they were both throwing themselves on the floor and crying. I guess we will have to keep it.

Parker had his first lesson already and is really enjoying it. He has lots to learn and is open for the challenge. I am just not sure how many more times I can take Yankee Doodle. I should just be happy that he is liking it.

Just over 6 weeks to go

Here is an updated photo of this pregnant momma....not feeling so hot. I have been uncomfortable ALOT recently. I am just glad that Jeff has had some time off and is able to help out around the house. We have just over 6 weeks to go...yay!!! Baby is doing good though, and that is all that matters, right?? On a good note, thanks to my diet I lost two pounds in the last two weeks. That makes 7 pounds total in the last month. If the doctor is not concerned, neither am I!! Next visit we have an ultrasound and we get to see this baby one more time before he/she is presented to the world. And yes I am dying to know what it is, I just keep telling myself only a few more weeks.

Addison's 1st Haircut

I have been dreading taking Addison to the salon because I was not sure how she would act and also I did not want to get rid of her curls. But when it started to be unmanageable I knew it was time. I had nothing to fear though....she was an angel. And Ceelie, my hairdresser, did not cut off all her curls...in fact, now her hair curls better. After she was done Addison wanted braids, she LOVED them!! Doesn't she look so cute!!

Here is a picture of how her hair curls now....love it!!!

9 weeks to go

I had an ultrasound this last week. Baby is doing great. We got some great 4-d ultrasound photos....Addison loved looking at these, she can actually see a baby. She keeps asking me when we get the baby. Random things keep being delivered and so that is not helping. Just this week we got the car seat and the stroller. She was super excited and wanted to open them immediately. I just got around to it today. She loved that her and the baby could both sit in the double stroller. She also LOVES putting her baby in the car seat. She also keeps seeing clothes and wants to put them on the baby. I just keep telling her that soon enough we will have the baby. I still cannot believe that the baby will be here so soon. I keep thinking that is could be sooner than that. I had both the kids 10 days early and so it could be as early as 7 weeks....scary. And I am looking VERY pregnant. And dad....we still don't know if it is a boy or a girl. Don't worry when we know you will for sure find out. You tell me...does it look like a boy or a girl? I am going towards the boy, that is what I feel it is. But I would LOVE a girl!

Snow Day 2011

Just like the rest of the United States we got hit hard with REALLY cold temps. Seriously.....when it is in the negatives, that is WAY too cold. I felt like I was back home during the dead of winter. Then the electric company started doing rolling black outs and then it got really cold. We did get some snow though and it stuck around for a couple of days. The kids were loving it. I am glad that we had some kind of snow gear. You just don't invest in that kind of stuff unless you know you are going to use it. And here...you never know. I think the kids were going crazy though with the negative numbers because I would not let them go outside and they hated it. Eventually it warmed up to the teens and I let them out, but not for very long. I think what Parker loved most about having snow was that he only had school one day last week. Jeff and I were going crazy. Jeff was home all week too. His time off can be explained by a LONG story, but I think he is enjoying his time off. It has been great for me, he helps out a TON with the kids and gets them breakfast almost every morning and lets me sleep in. Anyway onto the pics because I know that is all most of you want to see anyway.

I think their favorite part of the whole thing was the hot chocolate. I also had warm soup to try and get them warm. Addison had never had her own hot chocolate before and loved it. I usually just give her a few sips of mine and she is content. She couldn't finish it (which I anticipated) and she wanted me to put it in the fridge. I don't think she understood that it was HOT chocolate. It was cute.

Today it finally warmed up and we all spent the afternoon outside. Jeff planted some new trees...woo hoo, hope they turn out good. They are dormant right now and so the weather was perfect for them. The kids enjoyed their bikes and LOVED not being cooped up in the house. Bring on SPRING!!!
