Snow Day

It is hard to believe that people close school with 6 inches of snow. Living in UT, as a kid, I had only one snow day and there were like 2 feet of snow. So far this year in Midland we have had 2 snow days and all the snow combined is less than 1 foot. I decided though that after having to deal with it here, I don't miss it at all!!! It was weird to look in my backyard and see snow. It was pretty though!! Now you would think that my kids were excited to go out and play in it. I think Addison would have gone out and had fun but she didn't tell me. Parker on the other hand did not even want to go out. He lost his coat right after Christmas and that was his second coat and so I told him no more coats. He has a jacket but thats it. He would not go out, he said that he needed a coat. He has all the other things needed, boots, gloves, snow pants, etc. So we had a great snow day and we didn't play in it at all. But we did see some great snowmen around town. Maybe next year we can make a snowman??

What am I going to do with her??

This little thing LOVES dogs. The only movies I can get her to watch are dog ones (airbuddies, 101 dalmatians, etc) and she sleeps with dogs. I counted today as I put her down for a nap, there are 6 of them. She loves them. And if she is missing one she will let you know. It is so funny. She does have her favorites though. First of all is Sockers and then this little white dog that my grandma gave her. She actually will carry that one everywhere we go. It went to church today and she carried it around the whole day. She just cracks me up. She found a stuffed dog today at a friends house while we were at dinner and it was as big as her. She carried around like it was nothing. It was so funny!!! Also she rescued two stuffed dogs that Parker put int he goodwill pile. She is not going to let those out the door without a fight. What am I going to do with her?? Oh and sorry about the horrible picture it was taken with Jeff's phone.

So I don't want to jinx anything but this little girl is amazing!!! She has been telling me for about 3 weeks now when she goes potty and then she tells me that she needs changed and then starts putting her hands in her diaper. At that point I know it is time to get a diaper. Well someone told me to get on that and start potty training. I told that to Jeff and didn't think anything of it. On Saturday I was gone and so Jeff watched the kids all day and he was giving me a run down of the day and then tells me that Addison went potty on the big girl potty. I was blown away. I could not believe that she would do that. She is too little!! But really she is almost 18 months old, but in my mind she is still a baby. But I keep comparing her to Parker who was 3 when he was potty trained. But she is a pro. She gets on there and then goes potty, then I give her a piece of candy and thats it. She is pretty much doing it herself. I am going to go and buy underwear tomorrow and be finished with diapers for a while.

Valentines Day Party

I went over to Parker's school for the Valentines Party. Parker had a good time and got a TON of candy. When did Valentines day become more about candy than actual Valentines. CRAZY!! It was funny how much sugar was there. One mother brought fruit which was great. But the kids had cupcakes, cookies, and fruit. Then we gave them a capri sun. Plus all the kids were eating their candy from their Valentines. Then someone else brought cookies and then his teacher brought out cupcakes. The kids were so sugared up it was out of control. The big hit of the party was the candy bracelets from a little boy in class, they LOVED them!!!

We had a great Valentines day..I made a special breakfast with strawberries and whip cream on heart shaped pancakes...who doesn't love that?? We just had a relaxing day and enjoyed spending time together.

Be My Valentine

The kids got a Valentin this week in the mail and they loved it. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the lovely Valentines!!! They were a big hit!! Seeing the stuffed animals I thought that Addison would want that but she saw the candy and wanted that more. She was so funny. Parker was so excited that he ripped right through the actual Valentine. He was so mad afterwards. Addison still sees her Valentine and barks (there is dog on it) and she loves it. She carried it around all morning.

I love this girl....

How can you not love this little thing. She just started to say "cheese" when you take her picture....so cute!!! And this is the face she pulls. She can be entertained so easily. The other day I was sewing and she sat on my bed with her "friends" and this magazine for like an hour. So funny!!!

Cute toes

I have always loved painting my toes and now that Addison is getting big she is starting to notice things more. She watched me the other day while I painted my toe nails and she just loved it. Then she looked her toes and then back at mine and once again at hers....I knew what she wanted. She wanted hers painted!! (well that is what I am telling myself.) So I painted them and aren't they just so cute. They were kind of hard to paint. Her toes are tiny!!! Oh and don't look a the scuffed up one...how do you explain to a one year old that she has to sit still?? And that is why I don't have a good picture either.
