Favorite spot

Jeff has been lying down alot (thanks to a sleepy driver, it's been two years and things are starting to act up, oh joy!! Really I should just be happy that I still have him, we are very lucky!!) and so Addison has found her new favorite spot.

Can you explain this???

Addison is my picky little eater. I pick up alot of food from off the ground because if she doesn't want it, it goes straight to the ground. She finally will eat something other than yogurt, cheese, granola, and oatmeal. (Okay so she eats other things but this is the main part of her diet) Macaroni and Cheese. The rest of us hate it so I buy the microwave kind. Easy and makes just enough. I love that she will finally eat other things. But what I fine peculiar is the way it looks before I cook compared to what it looks like after it is cooked.

I love to pull it out of the microwave, it puts a smile on my face every time!!

New do...

So I did it, and I am not loving it yet. It may be a little short, but it will grow. But so far no headaches. That is what we want. I hope this solves the problem!! Jeff's response was.....what?? I thought you were just going to get it thinned again. Parker told me he didn't like it....so I am not sure what to think. Now in this photo we were at the soccer game and it was really windy, so it doesn't look that good, but you get the idea.

I just love this little thing

I am no professional but I think these turned out pretty darn cute....she did so good for them! Thanks Margene and Blaine for letting me use your backyard. All I know is that the picture on my wall was almost a year old and I needed a new one. So it was way over due to have her pictures taken. I have so many more too but I won't bore you with all of them, these two are my favorite.

I was playing in PS and love the way this one turned out....Jeff thinks it is washed out...I love how soft it is. What do you think??

Best way to hide the healthy stuff

I love smoothies!! They are yummy and they are the best way to hide all the healthy stuff. My kids just eat them up like they are candy. I am just glad that I can hid anything in there. Parker asked once what I was putting in there and looked a bit concerned but ate the whole thing. Gotta love that!!

Sometimes I wonder how much she actually eats....she is always covered when she is finished.

So ladylike

Addison is not really a talker, she has a few words but really not that many. She does do some sign language to make life a bit easier though. If she wants a drinks he will point to her nose. And then when she wants more of something she will tap her two pointer fingers together. She can also tell us please and thank you. She is so stinkin cute when she does her signs though. She does them so nicely and softly just like a little lady.

One am and here I sit......

I think that I am going to go crazy!!! Here it is one in the morning and I know darn well that I should not be awake. But here is how it goes. I have been getting these headaches for a couple of months now. They are not just any kind of headache. They are the kind that you want to go and hide in a closet with the door closed and a pillow over your head because any movement, sound, or light hurts your head. The really lovely kind of headache that literally takes you out. The only thing that is my saving grace is excedrin and a Dr. Pepper. I have tried just excedrin and nothing. It requires that I have the Dr. Pepper with it. This doesn't happen all the time but it has been happening every few days for about 2 weeks now. So tonight at 8 pm I took my excedrin and had a Dr. Pepper and now I am wide awake. I hate to have to have soda I know that it is not good for me, carbonation actually slows you down, but what is a girl to do. I think that I have narrowed it down. My hair has been getting really long and EVERYTIME I put it up in a ponytail of any sort I get one. When I wear it down nothing....but what am I supposed to do I can't wear it down all summer!! I would go crazy. The only reason I have not cut it yet is because Jeff likes it long and he asked I keep it that way. So I had my hair girl (She rocks by the way) thin it thinking that would solve the problem. Nope, so now I just wish it was 9 am in the morning so that I could get in ASAP and hopefully get my hair cut so that I don't have to deal with these headaches anymore. But as for right now I am wide awake and not sure what to do about it. The hardest part about the whole thing is that my alarm clock was not built with a snooze and it wakes up at 7 am on the dot every morning. Wish me luck tomorrow I think I am going to need it, or at least I am going to need a nap.

Happy Birthday Parker!!

I feel like we have been celebrating all week. We have sure been busy. Originally we were going to take Parker to Sea World for his birthday (in San Antonio) and we had planned that months ago. Jeff has been on restriction for his back....gotta love that. He is back into physical therapy. He cannot sit for very long and so we can't go. San Antonio is 300 miles away. I am bummed (and so was Parker) and so tried to do fun stuff here instead. The weekend was supposed to start with Jeff and Parker going camping and that was canceled due to really bad weather. We even had a tornado watch. I went over to Parker's school to take his class treats for his birthday and found all the kids having to sit in the hallways in the position they would be in if there was a disaster. Poor kids they had to sit in the hallway for almost an hour. I felt really bad for them. They were all doing very well though. Once we finally got back into the classroom they were much better and excited to get a cupcake. Wowsers...check out all that frosting!! The kids loved them!!

After Parker got home we had to break the news that they weren't going camping. He was bummed but we decided to give him his birthday present early. He finally joined the wii club. He has been asking for one forever. I was ready for the cat to be let out of the bag. We have had it for two weeks and Jeff and I have been playing it at night after he went to bed. Jeff is definitely addicted. Parker was so excited and he played that all evening. I think that made up for not being able to go camping.

The next day for lunch he picked to go out to Double Daves Pizza for lunch. It was YUMMY!! He loved it!! Good choice Parker!! Then in the afternoon he had a little party with some of his friends. They had a fun time. I was so mad about his decorations. I love balloons and you can't have a birthday without them. Well, I went to get some and they said that they had so many orders and that they couldn't get any for me until 5 pm and the party was at 2 pm...I was so mad. I didn't have time to run around Midland finding more balloons and so that was it, no balloons for the party. What kind of party were we having?? The kids had fun anyway and they had fun playing the Wii. Our original plans were ruined with the weather. We were going to have the kids go outside and play on the slip and slide and get water balloons and have a good time with water. Oh well!! They had fun anyway. Parker really enjoyed having his best little buddies over. I only let him have over 3 friends and I am glad. After two hours my nerves were fried. I was ready for a time out for me. I just sit back and cannot believe that my Parker is 6....where has time gone?? Happy Birthday Parker!!!

Don't you just love Parkers cake?? Totally his idea....I love the way it turned out. What is funny though is that he has not had any of it. He only wanted ice-cream. Thanks Camilla for coming over and bringing your kids and eating some of them. We had too many hamburgers to eat. They were yummy though, the brownie is the best part....the best way to eat a cupcake if you ask me!!

Magical Magical Me!!

The Kindergartners had a great end of the year program that they put on. They were adorable!! Parker got to dress up like a cowboy and be in the spotlight for a few moments. Addison loved all the music and enjoyed the whole thing. We are so proud of Parker and all of his hard work!!!

I think he likes them!!!

Parker got new shoes last week and I have been meaning to write about them. I think he likes them. They light up and according to him they help him to run fast. This is him sleeping with them on. It did not matter what I said, he was not going to take them off. So funny!!!

oh so exciting...

You probably wonder what is so exciting about this picture.....well it is from my backyard. I had my very first fruit of the year....a strawberry. And SHOUT loves it too because Addison thought that the juice from it belonged on her shirt.

Until next time...

Movie Night

Two days after we got home from UT we had a Movie Night for our church. I was in charge of it and so those few days after we got home are such a blur. Trying to get everything ready for the activity and trying to get our house back in order and getting back on schedule was a little chaotic. But all in all it turned out really great. The kids had a great time and so did Jeff and I. Going to Grandpa Bushman's house is always a blast. Having a movie night is even better. Blaine brought out the big guns for this one. He had his ice cream machine out (Just like you would see at Diary Queen, yummy!!) It was so good. He also brought out his train. Jeff loved this and plans on making one. He hooked it up to his riding lawn mower and then made each car out of a water barrel. A little stool was screwed down on the inside so the kids had somewhere to sit and then had each barrel hooked onto a dolly.....brilliant. The kids loved it!! Plus in their backyard they have swings and ping pong, and a huge tree house. What kid wouldn't love this place??

This is our Bishop, I know Grandparents don't even get this privilege, she won't go to anyone. Not sure what was with her that night.

The best kind of pet

Parker has been bugging me since he was probably two for a pet. He has always wanted a dog. It would change to cat every now and then but he has always wanted one. A while back he was watching tv and saw a commercial (I hate commercials for this reason right here) and he saw a commercial for a zhu zhu pet. He let me know quite a few times that this was the best kind of pet. It didn't make messes and there was nothing to clean up. Well Grandma heard him loud and clear and got one for him for his birthday. Meet Num Nums. Our newest pet....the best kind of pet. Parker was so excited to get an early birthday gift as well. We were just glad that my parents traveled from SLC to St. George so that we could see them. Now Parker keeps telling me that Num Nums needs all kinds of toys...a tunnel, a car, a ball, clothes. After all he is a hamster and I guess Parker thinks he should live in style. I am just glad that now I don't have to hear about getting a pet. He is satisfied for a while.
