First day of Kindergarten...
Well we survived!! He was so excited this morning and could not hold still. He got to wear new clothes and the shoes he picked out weeks ago, they light up and everything. We went over to the school and I walked him in and I could tell he was nervous. He asked when I would be back and then asked where he needed to sit. He gave me a hug and then sat down and that was it. Something kind of weird that they do is they serve the kids breakfast, if you call a pop-tart and juice breakfast. I am just glad that I made pancakes for breakfast and Parker had a full belly. The good news is that I didn't cry, nope not once. I thought that I might. It was a little weird not to have him here all day. The house sure was quiet and Addison had two uninterrupted naps. (that rarely happens) The time came to pick him up and can we say complete chaos....the cars were everywhere and not organized at all. I finally parked the car and went and walked to pick him up. I was tired of waiting. I could tell Parker was excited to see me. He gave his teacher a hug and we were off. He was anxious to tell me all about his day. He says he can't wait to go tomorrow. The only thing he didn't like was that I sent him lunch. He says he wants to eat school lunch. I sure can tell he has been in a cube all day, he has TONS of energy and is outside playing as I write. Here's to a successful year!!!!
Addison's new love...
I found this video the other day of Addison. She loved this bike at the science spectrum. Enjoy!!! By the way, not sure why is shows Addison walking at first...oh well!!!

Ready, set, aim....
The Midland Fire House had an open house on Saturday and we went over and a great time. They had loads of info for parents and lots of activities for the kids. Parker really enjoyed the target practice and the smoke house. He also loved having his new little buddy Porter there. They had a great time!! We got to see the "Jaws of Life" and that really made me think about Jeff's accident and what it must have been like. We sure are glad to have him here and without them it would have been alot harder to get him out of the car.

Yes, I made that!!
I have been needing to fulfill my "Pay it Forward" post and my sister is one of the people that is a recipient. So I have been quite the sewer lately. (so not like me at all!!) I found this pattern for these and fell in love with them. They are little crayon totes. They hold 8 crayons and a pad of paper and an extra pocket for stickers or something. I loved making them and I think they turned out very cute!! Parker LOVES it!! He has slept with it for two days now and even took it to church today. I am just glad that it kept him busy for all of Stake Conference. He takes it EVERYWHERE!! It will be perfect for traveling and for doctors offices and stuff like that. I just hope that my sisters kids like them. And you other two recipients your stuff is coming soon. I have not forgotten about you, I promise!! I have been trying to figure out what to send and I think I figured it out.
Who did it??
Tonight as I was putting Parker in bed I left Addison with Jeff. That may have been a mistake. He was playing a computer game and she began to wander. I found her in the kitchen. This is what I found. I told Jeff he had to clean it up. What is funny is that he went in the kitchen and she ran out. She was not going to claim that one. It was a pretty good mess. I just laughed and told him not to turn his back for even 30 seconds with her. I think that drawer needs a child lock??

Are you seeing a pattern??
Our little girl is now 11 months old, she is such a cute girl and her personality is really starting to emerge. Here are a few of her newest things....
-She likes to act like she is sharing, she takes it away just at the last minute and then won't share or won't give it to you at all.
-Loves food!!
-She loves to make messes!!
-Is walking everywhere!!
-Not sleeping through the night yet but she did do it 4 days in a row and had me in heaven!!(I hadn't had a full nights rest for over a year, I am hoping for this soon!!)
-Her favorite toy in the whole world is Parker's stuffed animal, Sockers!!
-She will tell you she wants more by sticking our her hand at you. (who cares about these signs we have been trying to get her to do since she was born??)
-Still loves books!!
-Loves to play with Parker and laugh at him!! They are a hoot in the car, he gets her to laugh the whole time.
We don't remember what it was like not having her around and glad that she is part of our family!!

Science Spectrum
We took a trip 2 hours away to Lubbock and went to the Science Spectrum. What fun we had!! Parker was not sure what to think when we told him where we were going but had a ball while we were there. They also had a great toddler area and Addison even had some fun. We will definitely go back, it will be fun when Parker can read and learn even more. Jeff was like a big kid...he loves this kind of stuff. Parker said he couldn't pick out just one thing he liked, he "loved the whole thing!!"
My first salad
Yep, that's me having our only tomatoes from our garden (count them, there are only three,It really is pitiful that we have 5 tomato bushes and only three tomatoes) and also that lettuce is from our garden. Yeah!!! I cannot believe how hard a garden can be..hopefully we get more fruit. On a side note, one of our cantaloupes shriveled up and died but we still have two more, and hopefully the bugs don't get to them!!

The Big 30
So I cannot believe it...I am 30. It came, it went and boy am I glad. It was a bad day! You know that day that your kids decided to behave badly and do all those things that drive you crazy. Plus Addison is teething so you can only imagine how fun that was. It was "hold me all day or else I cry." Not sure why they picked this day, but what do you do? Aren't birthdays for mom's overrated when you have kids?? We didn't have a birthday cake (I didn't want to make my own, that just isn't right) My friend Camilla brought me some yummy chocolate chip cookies though, she said you have to have something fattening on your birthday. Thanks Camilla!! Jeff did make a yummy dinner. Steak with caramelized onions and mushrooms, cooked on the grill and potatoes, yummy!!! After dinner Jeff and Parker sang to me but it only took Parker about 10 minutes of whining about doing it before he would do it. That pretty much ruined it. So next year if I want them to sing to me, maybe I should make myself a cake. I did go to Walmart that night and ran into a friend and she pretty much saved the day. We talked forever and had a great chat. Thanks Megan you rock!!! Oh and I did get something else fattening at Walmart!!! I decided that I needed cake and ice-cream. Surprisingly it was yummy!!! (I had my doubts with it being from the Walmart bakery.)
The one thing she really likes
Addison does not really like anything(you know like some kids will carry around a blanket or a stuffed animal)....except the one thing that she can't have...SOCKERS!! (Parker's favorite stuffed dog). It is quite funny!! Grandma can you send another one so the fighting will end??

Do me a favor...
I know that this is going to be a weird request, but I need all of you who read this (Oh I am sure that there are hundreds of you), to leave me a comment. I have had a few people tell me that they can't leave comments. I am not sure if it is them or if it is something I have done or need to do. I would really appreciate it!! Thank you so much!!
